Celebration of the 1st Lone Legislative District of Iligan - 2010

On October 20, 2010 Iligan City celebrated its first Congressional Lone District Day, for exactly one year before, Congressman Vicente "Varf" F. Belmonte, Jr. successfully got the approval of the President to sign Republic Act 9724 which declares Iligan City as a Lone Congressional District.  This effort of the Honorable Congressman really made majority of the Iliganons to be thankful for they know that this move will give the Iligan Representative more time as well as budget to accomplish his projects for there will be no other municipalities to take care unlike the previous years when all the preceding legislators have to visit other municipalities and try to divide equally his time in order to serve them well.

The pictures below documented the activity as it unfolded.
